MTV CASTING CALL-

Hey-God,

As you know, we're in the process of creating a show to be filmed in Houston
this fall called "Houston High." We're covering the lives and music grind
of aspiring MCs/rhymers living in the Houston area between ages 14-20.
In Case you need an IDEA of what we're looking for, think Common, Matisyahu, Bahamadia, Mr. AZ-Anthony CruZ, DJ Premier/Guru-Who's Gonna Take the Weight?, Pete Rock/CL Smooth- Straighten It Out,TROY!, Big Daddy Kane-Another Victory!, Dilated Peeples-Turn it Upp- Now Turn IT Up--, Talib Kweli, Dougie Fresh-Keep Risin to Tha Top!, Chuck-D, Kanye, Lupe Fiasco, Rakim, Mos Def. Basically Visionary Artists. We're not interested in the 'white Tee wearing, Follow the Leader cat'. Those tapes are heading straight into the garbage!

Honestly, we're negotiating to get a Show that features the talented aspiring Artists/Bands who make that 'Love-Music' like Anita Baker, Teena Marie, Alicia Keys, The Beatles, Natalie Merchant, Alanis Morrisette, Ani DiFranco-Righteous Babe, George Benson, George Duke, Sheryl Crow, Wayman Tisdale!, Joe Sample, Patti LaBelle, Pink, Jewel, Randy Crawford, Fiona Apple, La Raza Connection etc.. It wasn't in the Budget, so Hopefully Later in the Fiscal Year- Fingers Crossed-..

Thanks for *ALL* of your help with the casting call we held in Houston last
month. We had a *GREAT* turnout. Because word keeps traveling about the
show, we keep getting the same questions: "Is it too late to apply?"

Because the questioning hasn't stopped, we decided to extend the Deadline to
the *SEPT 15TH.* We can't come back to Houston just yet for another casting
call. So instead, we're asking *all of the aspiring MCs to make a 10-15
minute video showing us their real life, their family and friends, and why
they are passionate about their music career or Life in general for that matter. It's about Defining Yourself for Yourself*. They can mail the videos to:

They should also Include their Contact Info, a Recent photo & any Music they have on CD. All questions should be forwarded to houstonhighcasting@gmail.com

Word of Mouth did a Wonderful Job, *and Radio DJs, -You-Guys- did an even better
job getting the word out! You helped us a lot, and now we're asking you to
continue to help by announcing it when you're on air* . We want everyone to
be Involved, so Tell your Cousin, Barber, Nephew, Niece, Son, Daughter,
Church, Friends, Neighborhood Kids, Etc (you get the picture). We're sayin the same thang like a synonym so: If you have a
music label, They can be a signed artist- It Doesn't Matter. Also, if you
think you can help the project in some beneficial way, Feel free to contact
Me. We want to help keep "Tha-H"
Hot, and at the Forefront of this Music Industry.
