RELIEF CONCERTS, LOUISIANA'S BIG BROTHER, JAMIE SPARXX, & PLAYA RAE.

Houston's music community is hosting at least 2 Benefit Concerts.
One is mostly Hip-Hop.
One is mostly Classic Rock.

HOUSTON ROCKS FOR HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF SEPTEMBER 10-11, 2005.
A song for the heart, a toy for a child, and relief for those in need.

The Houston music community comes
together September 10-11, 2005 for the first of many events designed
to support the victims of the Hurricane Katrina tragedy.

Houston ROCKS for Hurricane Katrina Relief 1 will take place at
NUMBERS Nightclub at 300 Westheimer in Houston from 7 pm - 2 am on
Saturday, September 10 and then from 3 pm - 10 pm on Sunday,
September 11. A suggested cash donation of $8 for one night and $12
for both nights is requested. Attendees are also encouraged to bring
a toy for a child taking refuge in the Astrodome and other Houston
shelters. All cash donations and bar profits will benefit The
McCormick Tribune Foundation Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund, the
American Red Cross, and local charities supporting Hurricane Katrina
relief efforts.

The McCormick Tribune Foundation Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund is

Dave Thies plays for the New Orleans acoustic rock band The Last
Saints (http://www.thelastsaints.com), and the band is taking refuge
in Houston in the wake of Katrina. The Last Saints will play the
opening set on Saturday, September 10 at the benefit concert at
NUMBERS. Dave notes, "I am originally from the west side of Houston
but moved to New Orleans to study music. I want to thank everyone
involved for their time and work to save our city."

Cliff Kurtzman, Executive Director of MyCityRocks HOUSTON notes, "If
there ever was a time for Houston to show the world how it can ROCK
to help those in need, this would surely seem to be it. With tens of
thousands of men, women, and children taking refuge in Houston our
city is directly affected. Katrina relief won't be just a one time
event... getting millions of lives back on track is a long term
process, but this is going to be where we will start, and this is
going to be where each and every one of us can shine like rock stars
in helping out."

---------

MyCityRocks was started in April 2005 and has quickly built a Houston
network of nearly 14,000 individuals. MyCityRocks focuses on getting
people involved in the local art and music scene and in activities
that make Houston a better place to live.

The Houston Band Coalition is a growing collection of Houston bands,
fans and music professionals who have banded together to create
community awareness about the local music scene. It is also the goal
of the Houston Band Coalition to set an example through professionalism
and work ethic for Houston's up and coming unsigned artists.

NUMBERS Nightclub is proud to be Houston's oldest and most infamous
venue for live local, international and breaking alternative acts
ranging from The Cure to Snoop. When not showcasing live music, NUMBERS
remains open five nights a week as the largest progressive video dance
bar in the US with music and videos from Houston's top progressive
DJ's.

Ok, speaking of Louisiana, Universal artist Big-Brother is gearin' up for a good run. His single w Jamie Sparxx is earning its way into rotation and producing a quality regional buzz.
Certainly, a gifted artist that matches words like cigarettes.

Up next is the Bay Area's most tenacious artist, Playa-Rae.

UMG Artist Playa Rae:

The Oregon Tour with Mr. Kee & Lil Rob have been completed.
Now, it's time to take a month off.
Monsta Mash Tour has been in full motion with shows all over...this month of September is Playa Rae's Birthday Month so with that it's time for a break in the tour schedule.

Sept. 22nd is the official day for Playa Rae. Time to recoup, rest up, celebrate another year of life and focus on what's to come for the remainder of the year '05.

The show w/Mr.Kee, Cap & Julox went well at Club Tropix. The turnout was nice and folks have emailed saying they had a great time. <--- thank GOD for that, because leading up to that show was a MAJOR HEADACHE. We had alot of obstacles to overcome and almost felt like it might be a bust because of everything that went wrong leading up to the event.

After that Playa Rae shot out to Tampa, FL for the show with artist "Mo Gutta Game". It was a great weekend stay and a HUGE thank you goes out to the people of Tampa, Ybor & St. Pete for showing so much love.
It felt like home for 4 days which was lovely. Gotta give it up to Alex for the venue and Mo Gutta for all the hard work he put in to promote this thing.
Shut It Down Squad held down the 1's and 2's..

Last week's show with Upstairs Records recording artist Lil' Rob went extremely well at Club Bash in Denver, CO. Gotta show love to Q-Time Productions who put this together, everything was real professional. The crowd came out in packs and the love was definitely in the house. KS107.5's Tony V. hosted the event.

Finally to wrap up a crazy month we closed out the tour in Beaverton, OR about 15mins from Portland. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported at that show. It was one of the more difficult shows we've had but we pulled thru it and made it successful despite the troubles.
Esequiel from Oregon...Thanks for everything you and the team did out there.
It is appreciated.
Wax, Smigg, M-Dash, J-Boog, B-12, Daric B, Syko, Jon Dough and more...thank yall for coming out to wreck that night as well.

What's next you ask?
